BOOKSNAP at DOCFLOW 2008: New Development Prospects

BOOKSNAP, professional book scanner from ATIZ Innovation, was presented by ALEE SOFWARE company, exclusive distributor in Russia and CIS, at the DOCFLOW 2008 conference-exhibition, which was held on May 12-13 2008 in Moscow, with ABBYY Russia company organizational support.

DOCFLOW is central and most expected annual event for experts in documents and information management. Event audience – managers and specialists of state organizations, industry, extractive industry, banking and financial structures, transport enterprises, trade and service sectors.

Visitor’s special interest, final users and direct competitors, was paid to BOOKSNAP from ATIZ Innovation – new on Russian book scanners market. This device is available in Russia and the CIS countries since the beginning of 2008, but sales volume is already catching his “older brother”, ATIZ BookDrive DIY, which performed the furore among specialists in 2007. However BOOKSNAP has greater potential as more affordable (as experts estimate, now this is the only first-class book scanner, which price is up to 200 roubles) and no less professional solution for mass book digitization. This fact is confirmed by active scanner purchases – not only large governmental, but also small college and school libraries acquire BOOKSNAP.
