Making sense of DPI, PPI, Megapixels and Resolution

Many people confuse DPI with PPI. Even though the terms “dots per inch” (DPI) and “pixels per inch” (PPI) are used interchangeably by many, they are not the same thing. In many instances the term DPI is used when in fact PPI is what is really meant.  Download the article here.
